Serpent Map

I had the opportunity to work on a project with an associate mapping Ohio's Great Serpent Mound. Located in Adams County, the Serpent Mound represents a culture long since gone, while the purpose of the mound remains a mystery. As part of our project, Nicole Stump and I hired a pilot to fly us over the site. Shortly after that we traveled to the site to acquire data using Global Positioning Satellites, which we then transformed into our map.

The project was officially completed and submitted to the Ohio Historical Society. They actually loved the map that we produced and are contemplating reproducing the project into an interpretive sign. What a great honor! Moreover, they've asked our permission to turn the map into posters that could be sold at Ohio's historical sites.
